Pull up a stool at the bar and enjoy the atmosphere of this historic and friendly village pub. It’s cosy by one of the log fires in winter and in summer the thick walls and aircon provide a haven from the heat. Watch the sunset from the front veranda, kick-back with a cold one in the tranquillity of the large back garden, or find a spot at the outdoor fire pit to hear the tall stories that linger into the night.
Friday night is darts night. Come on down and cheer on the locals as they play their weekly comp. And if you look as though you know which is the pointy end of a dart, you may be asked to join in.
Saturday night is usually the busiest night of the week with a great mix of locals and guests. It’s busy and buzzy but without that big pub vibe.
Sunday provides the perfect opportunity to wind down and finish your week with a tasty lunch before heading home, or to steal some time watching the footy at the bar before the working week starts again.
We may not have the biggest selection of tap beers, but we’re known for having the best tap beer this side of the mountains—it’s all about the rainwater that we use to clean the lines. We have a great selection of regional wines and enough craft beers to keep most drinkers happy.
Our menu gives a nod to classic pub food prepared with quality fresh produce sourced locally whenever possible. There are blackboard specials, home made desserts and a roast lunch on Sundays.
